What services are provided by the Health Department for Cowlitz County?

• Provide information concerning immunization requirements for entry into schools, preschools and child care facilities. 

• Promote access to care by providing resources and information on where to receive immunizations.

• Education outreach in regard to immunizations provided and preventive care by using vaccines of preventable diseases.

• Training for staff of private health care providers on proper handling, storage, immunization techniques, proper interpretation of schedules and accurate usage of state provided vaccines.

• Community education to targeted populations with information on particular disease risks and encouragement to get vaccines.

What immunizations are provided at the Health Department?

The Cowlitz County Health Department no longer provides immunizations regularly.

We will provide immunizations during times of disease outbreak and other emergencies.
