| DIRECTIONS TO THE COWLITZ
COUNTY PERSONNEL OFFICE: The Cowlitz County Administration building is located at 207 Fourth Avenue North in Kelso, Washington. It is a three-story, red brick building that once served as the Cowlitz County Courthouse. The Personnel Office is located on the Eastside of the third floor, across from the Commissioners Office. Southbound I-5: If you are traveling South along I-5, take exit #40, the Longview-Kelso and Longbeach exit. At the end of the off-ramp, turn right onto Kelso Avenue North. Follow Kelso Avenue North until you come to a stop light at the top of a small hill (a bridge will be to your right). You will want to be in the left-hand turn lane at the stop light. Turn left onto Cowlitz Way. Immediately on your right will be a church, followed by the entrance to our parking lot. Visitor parking is provided along the Northwest end of the building. If by chance you miss the entrance to the parking lot, stay in the right lane and the street will turn down, South onto Fourth Avenue, which is along the Eastside of our building. Parallel parking is located along the street. Northbound I-5: If you are traveling North along I-5, take exit #39, the Kelso exit. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto Allen Street. Follow Allen Street, remaining in the left-hand lane. You will go through three traffic lights. At the second light, the right-hand lane will turn off. Remain in the left-hand lane through the light. Immediately after the next light (the third one), turn right onto Third Avenue, which is a one-way street. At the stop sign, you will see our building up and to the right. You may turn right and park on the street, or go straight up the hill into our parking lot where there will be visitor parking at the top of the hill along your right side. |
