Under RCW 17.10.020, Noxious Weed Control Boards are created in every county in Washington; however, the boards are inactive until formally activated.  Once activated, county weed boards consist of five voting members, appointed by the County Legislative authority to represent five non-overlapping areas of the county.  At least four of these members must be engaged in the primary production of agriculture products.  In addition to the five voting members, the board has the authority to employ a weed coordinator (RCW 17.10.060 91)).

Board members are appointed (volunteers) to a four year term; expiring on Feb 28. 
Board meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, starting at 6 p.m.  Meeting are held at the WSU Extension/Noxious Weeds Building; 1946 Third Avenue;
Longview, WA  98632.
