The Prosecuting Attorney, Cowlitz County’s chief law enforcement officer, is
elected every four years and is responsible for:

Bringing criminal charges in both
Superior and District Court

Enforcement of unpaid child support
obligations

Acts as attorney for the county, its
elected officials and its employees in official matters.
